Government making roadmap for peace in Manipur, border fencing work on: Amit Shah

Union Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday said that the government is in talks with the Meitei and Kuki communities in violence-hit Manipur for a solution to ensuring long-lasting peace and stressed that fencing work along the India-Myanmar border was on.
Speaking about the achievements of the 100 days of the Modi 3.0 government, Amit Shah said the government has begun fencing the India-Myanmar border to check infiltration.
He also said the Centre has been working to restore peace in Manipur, which has been engulfed in tensions between Meiteis and Kukis since May 3 last year, and claimed over 220 lives so far.
